03月31日：I have to prod Edward into paying me what he owes.我得提醒爱德华把他借的钱还给我。

sb into doing sth.：提醒，劝说某人做某事
例如：Have you ever found yourself making a purchase as a way to try to prod yourself into taking a certain action? （你有没有买某一件东西来作为督促自己做出某一个特定行为的方法？）
          He needs a crisis to prod him into action.（他要事到临头才被迫采取行动。）

04月01日：The roar of the airplane was annoying.飞机的呼啸声很烦人。

：n. 咆哮，吼叫；轰鸣
例如：The lion's roar could be heard throughout the jungle.（狮子的吼叫声响彻整个丛林。）
          The fan at the window made a small whispering roar.（窗上的通风机发出了耳语般轻微的嗡嗡声。）

04月02日：Are you pulling my leg?你在开我玩笑吗？

one's leg：开某人的玩笑，愚弄某人
例如：Do not pull my leg .（别开我的玩笑了。）
          Be careful that he doesn't pull your leg.（小心不要被他所欺骗。）

04月03日：It's necessary for me to buy a TV set.我必须买台电视机。

1.it is necessary for sb to do sth：对于某人来说做某事是必要的
例如：It is necessary for us to take part in physical labour.（我们参加体力劳动是十分必要的。）
          It is necessary for us to meet again.（我们有必要再见一次面。）

04月04日：The teacher observed the children while they took the test.学生考试时，老师在监考。

e： v. 观察；注意到
例如：As a child, he liked to observe the behaviour of insects.（他小时候喜欢观察昆虫的习性。）
          What did the expedition observe?（这次考察观察什么呢？） 

04月05日：How does this dish taste?这道菜的味道怎么样？

：n. 碟，盘；一道菜，菜肴
例如：This dish has a strong tinge of Chinese cuisine.（这道菜很有些中国菜的风味。）
          This dish is quite palatable.（这个菜很对胃口。）

04月06日：The heavy book fell to the ground with a thud.那本厚书砰地一声掉在地上。

：n. 砰击声，重击
例如：The book hit the floor with a thud.（这书砰的一声落在地板上。）
         The tree fell to the ground with a thud.（树轰隆一声倒在地上。）
