07月29日：How about splitting the bill?我们平摊吧？

the bill：平均分摊费用
例如：They decided to split the bill for our dinner.（他们决定要分摊晚餐的费用。）
          We want to split the bill for the lunch.（我们愿意分摊午餐费用。）

07月30日：It's not natural for a child of his age to be so quiet.像他这样年纪的孩子不该这么安静。

l：adj. 自然的；天生的；合乎规律的
例如：The motion is quite natural and easily learned.（这个操作相当自然，也容易学习。）

1.old hand：老手，有经验者
例如：He was an old hand at the job.（他做这工作是老手了。）
          He advertised himself as an old hand.（他标榜自己是一个老手。）

08月01日：The team decided to go back to square one after they failed to qualify.在达标失败后，这支队决心从头再来。

1.go back to square one：回到原地，回到本地
例如：Jane lost so much work at school when she was ill that she's had to go back to square one.（简生病期间落了这么多课，以致她不得不从头开始学。）
          My papers were lost in the accident, so I had to go back to square one with the work.（我的论文在这次事故中弄丢了，只得从头再写。）

alone：不打扰，不干涉；不碰
例如：Leave alone the books.（别动书。）
          The principal is busy at his desk. You'd better leave him alone.（校长正忙于桌上的工作，你最好别打扰他。）

08月03日：We will be pleased to enter a business relationship with your firm.我们很乐意与你们公司建立业务关系。

d：高兴的，满意的
例如：I felt especially pleased with my wonderful bargain.（我对自己的这笔巧妙的交易非常满意。）
          I shall be pleased to go, if you will accompany me.（你要是肯陪我去，我才高兴去。）

08月04日：The darkest hour is that before the dawn.黎明前的时分是最黑暗的。

：n. 黎明，开端  v. 破晓，出现，被理解
例如：As dawn succeeded darkness, mopping up continued.（黎明时候，搜索工作还在继续进行。）
          It didn't dawn on me that I was getting the bum's rush.（我不明白，我竟要被赶走。）
