02月18日：The union announced a ban on overtime.工会宣布禁止加班。     

ce：v. 宣布；声称；（广播）通知；通报...的到来
例如： I was picked on to announce the bad news.（偏偏选中我去宣布这个坏消息。）
           They announced his plane was delayed.（广播通知他所乘的航班晚点了。）

02月19日：You can reserve seats over the telephone.你可以打电话预订座位。   

e：v. 储备；保留；预约，预订
例如：I will reserve my opinion at this time.（这次我将保留我的意见。）
          I'll phone up today and reserve a table.（我打算今天打电话去预订一张桌子。）

02月20日：We went for a walk along the beach at twilight.黄昏时分我们沿着海滩散步。    

ht：n. 黄昏；暮年；衰退期；朦胧状态
例如：She often sits in the garden at twilight.（黄昏时分她常常坐在花园里。）
          The old man spent most of his twilight working on his autobiography.（老人暮年的大部分时间都在写他的自传。）

02月21日：He is a true gentleman.他是个正人君子。

例如：It seems this gentleman was waiting for the doctor.（这位先生好像在等医生。）
         As heaven's movement is ever vigorous, so must a gentleman ceaselessly strive along.（天行健，君子以自强不息。）

02月22日：The room was very tidily arranged.这房间安排得整整齐齐。

例如：She folded the towels tidily.（她把毛巾整齐地叠好。）
          I wish the children would stop fling their clothes about, but put them away tidily.（我希望孩子们不要乱扔他们的衣服，而是整齐地放置好。）

02月23日：John looked at her thoughtfully.约翰若有所思地看着她。      

tfully：adv. 沉思地，体贴地
例如：She puffed thoughtfully for a moment.（她若有所思地吐出一股烟雾。）
          He looked at the picture thoughtfully.（他沉思地看着那张照片。）

02月24日：His arrest came as a surprise to the whole world.他的被捕让整个世界大为吃惊。     

：n. 逮捕；停止
例如：The students' arrest disturbed their friends.（这个学生遇到逮捕使他们的朋友非常不安。）
          I think I was gonna go into cardiac arrest.（我想我的心跳要停止了。）
