01月07日：Don't worry so much about the future.不要过分担心将来。
 

：v. 担心；使担心；骚扰，烦扰
例如： Do not worry. I 'll let you know when we arrive there.（不用担心。到了那儿我会告诉您的。）
           Do not worry me with such foolish questions.（不要用这些愚蠢的问题来烦扰我。）

01月08日：Her job is getting her nowhere.她现在的工作没有什么前途。

nowhere：毫无进展，未取得任何成就
例如：She's a very clever woman, but her abilities get her nowhere.（她是个极聪明的人，但她的能力却无助于她。 ）
          He got nowhere with his job.（他的工作一无进展。 ）

01月09日：Mary doesn't feel in tune with city life.玛丽跟城市生活格格不入。

tune with：和…合调
例如：His ideas are in tune with the times.（他的思想适合时代潮流。）
          The violin is not quite in tune with the piano.（这小提琴跟钢琴的调子不太和谐。）

01月10日： Snow blanketed the frozen ground.冰冻的地面上盖了一层厚厚的积雪。

t：v. 用毯子盖；覆在...的上面；布满；掩盖；阻止；妨碍，抑制
例如：The valley was blanketed with snow.（山谷中覆盖着如毯的白雪。）
          An electrical storm blanketed out the radio program.（雷雨干扰了广播节目的收听。）

01月11日：He had made a real dog's breakfast of these accounts.他把这些账目搞得一塌糊涂。  

#39;s breakfast：大杂烩，一团糟，混乱的局面
例如：I cannot make head or tail of it. It's a complete dog's breakfast.（我简直摸不着头脑；事情简直是一塌糊涂。）
          The hole business was a complete " dog's breakfast".（整个儿事情都成了一团糟。）

01月12日：May I have your attention, please?请大家注意一下。 

ion：n. 注意，留心，考虑，关心，修理
例如：Certain failures will require immediate attention.（有些故障需要立即引起注意。）
          Focus your attention on your work.（把注意力集中在你的工作上。）

01月13日：I didn't mean to offend you.我不是故意要冒犯你。

：v. 得罪；令人不适；犯罪；违背，有悖于
例如：You would be wise enough not to offend him.（你最好是不去冒犯他。）
          Onions offend her sense of smell.（洋葱的气味使她的嗅觉受不了。）
