11月26日：I went there a couple of years ago.我几年前去过那里。  

1.a couple of：一对，一双，两三个
例如：They threw up a new cabin in a couple of hours.（在几小时之内他们就建起了一座新的小屋。）
          He presented us with a couple of jade lions.（他送给我们一对玉狮子。）

11月27日：She got her courage and went to the dentist.她鼓起勇气去看牙医。

11月28日：Late hours don't agree with me.我不习惯熬夜。

例如：I agree that your plan is better.（我承认你的计划较好。）
          Seafood doesn't agree with me.（我不适宜吃海鲜。）

例如：He works slowly but accurately.（他做事速度较慢，但正确无误。）
          They accurately predicted solar eclipses.（他们精确地预告了日蚀。）

11月30日：The stars were shining bright.星光闪烁。  

：v. 照耀，发光
例如：Shine the flashlight on the steps so I can see. （把手电筒的光照向台阶这样我才能看清。）
          A star does not shine because some occult force has caused it to do so.（一颗恒星不发光是因为某些未知的力所致。）

12月01日：She was green with envy when she saw my new handbag.她看到我的新手提包时非常嫉妒。  

with envy：非常嫉妒的
例如：When I told her my news, she was absolutely green with envy.（我把我的事告诉了她，她非常妒忌。）
          They danced gracefully and that made everyone present green with envy.（他们优雅的舞姿使在场的人无一不感到嫉妒。）

12月02日：Can anyone give me a leg up?谁能帮我一下？  

sb. a leg up：帮助某人攀登，帮助某人度过难关
例如：If you give me a leg up, I can get over the wall.（如果你帮我一把，我就能翻过这堵墙。）
         She only got that job because her uncle gave her a leg up.（她是在她叔叔的帮助下才到那份工作的。）
