a moment：一会儿，片刻
例如：For a moment he forgot his errand.（有一小会儿，他忘掉了自己的使命。）
          Could you keep an eye on my suitcase for a moment?（你能给我照管一会儿手提箱吗？）

09月18日：He continued to work without respite.他连续工作，没有休息。

e：n. 暂缓，暂时的休息
例如：The telephone gave me no respite.（电话铃使我不得安宁。 ）
          The noise went on all night without respite.（吵闹声整夜不停。）
