08月13日：She is sick of watching boxing.她厌恶观看拳击。

sick of：厌恶，厌倦
例如：He is sick of this hot, sticky weather.（他厌恶这闷热的天气。）
          I was sick of waiting for you.（我等你等得不耐烦了。）

08月14日：It's a tall order but I'll try.这是一个艰巨的任务但是我会试一下。

order：难以完成的任务，无理要求
例如：It's a tall order to fill.（这是很难办到的事。）
          If is rather a tall order to get all that work completed in less than a week.（要在不到一周的时间内完成全部工作，的确是件难办的事。）

08月15日：I don't want to get stuck in a boring job.我不想被困在一个枯燥的工作中。

1.get stuck in：陷入…，加紧进行，全神贯注吃饭或工作
例如：I always get stuck in rush hour traffic.（我总是卡在尖峰时间的车阵里，动弹不得。）
          If we all get stuck in, we can finish the job today.（如果我们都开始拼命干，我们今天就可以完成此任务。）

08月16日：I'm really impressed.我很欣赏。

1.impress：v. 给予某人深刻印象，盖印，传送
例如：He did not impress me at all.（他没有给我留下丝毫印象。）
          He impressed a mark on the plate.（他在盘子上盖上记号。）

08月17日：My neighbor is always sticking her oar into others' business.我的邻居总是多管闲事。

into：插入，刺入
例如：I can feel a nail sticking into my shoe.（我觉得有钉子扎进鞋里。）
          We got stuck into the job immediately.（我们立刻动手干了起来。）

08月18日：The landscape paintings are out of this world.这幅风景画美到超过了想象。

of this world：极好的，非凡的
例如：Your mother's cooking is out of this world.（你母亲的手艺非凡。）
          I think the flavour of fresh strawberries is out of this world.（我认为新鲜草莓的味道鲜美无比。）

08月19日：She's 87 but she's still in the pink!她87岁了但仍然身体健康。

the pink ：非常健康，精力充沛，气色红润
例如：The children all looked in the pink after their holiday.（孩子度假后个个红光满面。）
          I hope you'll soon be in the pink again.（我希望你早点恢复健康。）
