aback：使吃惊，惊吓
例如：I was quite taken aback by the news.（这消息使我吓了一跳。）
          She was taken aback by his directness.（他的直率使她吃惊。）

02月04日：A book that remains shut is but a block.有书闭卷不阅读，无异是一块木头。

例如：Is block 10 next to block 8?（木块10挨着木块8吗？）
          Block 4 is behind block 3.（木块4在木块3后面。）

up one’s mind：下决心，拿定主意
例如：I can't make up my mind where to settle.（我不能决定定居何处。）

1.crucial：adj. 至关重要的
例如：Salt is a crucial ingredient in cooking.（盐是烹调的一种重要材料。）

tely：adv. 完全地，彻底地
例如：It fits completely my viewpoint.（它完全符合我的观点。）
         The news report was completely without foundation.（这一新闻报道是毫无根据的。）

-way ticket：phr. 单程票
例如：How much for a one-way ticket to Shanghai?（去上海的单程票多少钱？）
          A one-way ticket to Boston, please.（请给我一张去波士顿的单程票。）

02月09日：Your early settlement of this case will be appreciated.感谢您早日结算。

iate：v. 感激，感谢；欣赏
例如：I appreciate your kind words.（我很感谢你好心的安慰。）
          Thank you. I appreciate your help.（谢谢！很感谢你的帮助。）
